What do I do when Things are too late?
CONVERSATIONS:
Is it too late to change my situation?
Have you ever wished you could turn back the clock and undo things you’ve done in the past?
Regret is a powerful thing. Imagine Moses at 120 years old. That’s a lot of years to make a lot of mistakes.
Imagine the disappointment of Moses…He led the Israelites for 40 years through many tough situations. But in a moment of anger, he disqualified himself by his rash behavior. In return, God had to discipline him:
“Then the Lord spoke to Moses and Aaron, ‘Because you did not believe Me, to hallow Me in the eyes of the children of Israel, therefore you shall not bring this assembly into the land which I have given them.’ ” Numbers 20:12
Moses then tries to plead with God:
'Let me, I pray, cross over and see the fair land that is beyond the Jordan, that good hill country and Lebanon.' Deuteronomy 3:25
"But the LORD was angry with me on your account, and would not listen to me; and the LORD said to me, "Enough! Speak to Me no more of this matter. " Deuteronomy 3:26
And so, on Mt. Nebo, Moses died with a prayer left unanswered. Or so we think.
1. Read Matthew 17:1-2, taking note that this happened in the New Testament, many decades after Moses’ death:
Six days later Jesus took with Him Peter and James and John his brother, and led them up on a high mountain by themselves. And He was transfigured before them; and His face shone like the sun, and His garments became as white as light. 3And behold, Moses and Elijah appeared to them, talking with Him . . . Matthew 17:1-2

2. Mt Tabor is the traditionally considered location fro the Mt. of Transfiguration.
But other Bible scholars believe that Mount Hermon is the mountain where Jesus went and where Moses and Elijah appeared.
It is a mountain cluster which straddles the border of Syria and Lebanon and contains the highest elevated peaks. It provides a 360 view of the areas around it. This was the place where Jesus brought Moses! Now why do you think Jesus would even bring Moses here to this mountain?

If it wasn’t too late for Moses, it’s not too late for the Lord to redirect your life and answer your prayers. The question is are we willing and will we be humbly receive the Lord’s correction in our lives? Will we allow Him to change in us what needs to be changed?

Now may the God of peace himself sanctify you completely, and may your whole spirit and soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. He who calls you is faithful; He will surely do it. 1 Thessalonians 5:23-24
For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ. John 1:17
Prayer
Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank You for your great mercy and your great kindness.
Moses was undeserving of your mercy, but in your great kindness, you allowed him to see the land he longed to see. You are a prayer-answering God.
Father, thank you that because of Jesus’ sacrifice on my behalf, it’s not too late for me. I humble myself and admit I’ve blown it. I’ve made a lot of mistakes and committed a lot of sins that grieve you. Forgive me my pride and arrogance to think I could live without You.
I acknowledge You as my Lord and Savior in every aspect of my life. Change what needs to be changed in me and lead me into the future that you have prepared for me. In Jesus’ name, amen.
My Comments Policy
While my site offers visitors the ability to converse, I have a few ground rules so that our conversations will remain civil and courteous.
1. You must register in order to leave a comment. I don’t entertain pseudo, anonymous or bogus individuals. This site is my home (it has a Home Page, get it). I don’t let strangers who don’t introduce themselves into my home.
2. I love questions. I love them because a lot of times they are similar to someone else’s questions and can even trigger other questions from others. Questions also keep us all sharp. This is also why I respond to them as best as I can and at the soonest possible time. I believe that group answering benefits more people than private email exchanges.
3. We don’t have to agree. Debates are welcome. However, whether it is with me or any other visitors of my site, my rule is this: disagree if you must but keep things civil. That’s just how I run my home, and you are a visitor here. No shouting; I have seen it done in writing. No cursing and no insulting.
4. I reserve the right to delete your comments. Like I said, this is my home. I do not have an obligation to publish your comments. As a human being, you may enjoy the freedom to express your opinions on your own site but not on mine. To be specific, I will delete your comments if you post content that is in my sole opinion: (a) snarky; (b) off-topic; (c) libelous, defamatory, abusive, harassing, threatening, profane, pornographic, offensive, false, misleading, or which otherwise violates or encourages others to violate my sense of decorum, civility or any law, including intellectual property laws; or (d) “spam,” i.e. an attempt to advertise, solicit, or otherwise promote goods and services. You may, however, post a link to your site or your most recent blog entry.
5. You retain ownership of your comments. I do not own them and I expressly disclaim any and all liability that may result from them. By commenting on my site, you agree that you retain all ownership rights in what you post here and that you will relieve me from any and all liability that may result from those posts.
6. You grant me the license to post your comments. This license is worldwide, irrevocable, non-exclusive, and royalty-free. By posting comments on my site, you automatically grant me the right to store, use, transmit, display, publish, reproduce, and distribute your comments in any format, including but not limited to a blog, in a book, video, or presentation.
