Five Bird Tones – Day-off Meditations
Posted: March 5th, 2012 | Filed under: Blog | 5 Comments »
I’m no bird expert but when I listen intently enough I can hear as much as seven bird tones on a good day. Today I could only distinguish five.
I didn’t hear the squawk of what I presume is the big black bird’s, he often visits the tree where I read my Bible on my Sabbaths. Vito loves listening to them too.
Thanks Lord for the revelation of rest. Only in still, quiet rest can I experience the wonder of Your creation. You restore every facet of my broken body and soul. Above the sirens of the city and the roar of the plane that whizzed by, I can hear the birds again – more significantly I can hear You say – “I love you, Joey!” Thanks Papa God for giving me access through Jesus. I’m grateful always.
“That person is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither—whatever they do prospers.” Psalm 1:3

Pastor Joey,
The message is short yet so powerful.
It encouraged me to be more passionate in pursuing Him everyday through my daily devotions.
Thank you!,
